Great day today! Got to spend a little time in nature at a cool place near where I live. Today's challenge was "Green & Yellow"...thought that would be really difficult but I realized there is a lot of green and yellow in nature. Had a little trouble choosing so I just included them all!
I liked this one for the reflection...seemed to look like a mirror image to me.
I thought the colors in the leaves were perfect and all the trees really created such a peaceful feeling.
This is the same sign as the first photo but just reflected in the water. I thought it looked almost like a painting!

June 365+1 "A Toy"
I took this a few months ago as part of the "Lego" challenge of this project. I was teaching myself about depth of field...I still have a lot to learn! I like legos. I didn't really play with them much as a child but they sure are fun to pose in the most unusual places. And they are such easy models to pose!

Memories!
I love any opportunity that allows me to practice photography and capture some great memories!
Ozark National Forest in Arkansas
Thought it would be nice to just sit on this rock...if only I wasn't afraid of heights! But the view was amazing!
Found this great little stream and got to practice my water pics. Haven't quite mastered the settings on my camera yet but I liked the way this looked with the rocks and the rushing water.
Same stream...really liked the symmetry of the different rock formations and the water flowing over them.
I just really liked the way the water looked framed by the trees and rocks. (yes, I am slightly obsessed with water!)
I'm also obsessed with trees and the blue sky was incredible!

January 365+1
These are some of my 365+1 Project pictures for January. Developing new habits is hard so I didn't do as good a job as I wanted in taking a picture every day. I plan to do better in February!
12 - My daughter's 12th birthday cake. She had an "Alice in Wonderland" theme and we all had to wear hats, drink tea and eat tiny sandwiches. It was a great day!

A Fresh Perspective - I love looking at this picture and remembering that whatever path you choose, it's there for you to take. You just have to take the first step!
With a wide aperture - I just liked the perspective of the tiny weed in focus with the beautiful fall colors blurred in the background.
Brisk - Middle school basketball. Fun!!
Inspired by - This picture was photoshopped by a good friend and I really loved the way it turned out! Kind of reminded me of a fairy tale!
With a who cares aperture - Trying to take a picture of the moon. Thought it was really interesting how the street light illuminated the end of the street. the moon is barely visible above and to the right of the light.

Black and white - I had a lot to choose from here...I really like black and white photos so there will probably be a lot of them in this project! I just liked the chaos of all the branches and the contrast with the sky in the background.
